33/11 kV Utility Shifting, Vikas to Durga Soren Chowk

Utility shifting of 33/11 kV overhead line and underground cable along the Ranchi corridor from Vikas to Durga Soren Chowk, awarded by SRE & Associates (JV) of Bhagalpur under a work order dated 18 December 2023.

Seven estimates, five sub-divisions

The work order bundles seven separate JBVNL deposit-head estimates, which is why it touches so much of the city:

• Ormanjhi — 11 kV Booty feeder, Ring Road to Booty More Hanuman Nagar, and the 11 kV Vikash feeder to Booty More Mahavir Nagar (estimates 13 and 14/RESA/Deposit/Ranchi/2023-24)
• Kantatoli / Lalpur — 11 kV Power House feeder HT, LT and DSS on Purulia Road, Kantatoli Chowk to Lowadih Chowk, both sides of the road (36 and 37/RESC/Dep/2023-24)
• Kokar — 11 kV HT, LT and DSS from Cluny Nursery School, HB Road, to India Timber (38/RESC/Dep/2023-24)
• RMCH — 33 kV and 11 kV from Surendranath School to Khelgaon Chowk near the Gymkhana Club (39/RESC/Dep/2023-24)
• Namkum — 33 kV UG line, 11 kV overhead, DSS and LT from Durga Soren Chowk to Carmel School, Lowadih (12/RESA/Deposit/Ranchi/2023-24)

Scope covered supply of 33/11 kV XLPE cable and rail poles, erection to drawing and bill of quantities, and all labour, tools and plant — with a three-month completion period from the date of agreement.

On the value

The work order is written against a deposit estimate of ₹28,82,00,000.84 for the scheme as a whole, with our rate accepted at 10% below that total excluding GST and supervision charges.

We deliberately do not add that figure to the documented contract value shown elsewhere on this site. A deposit estimate is the amount lodged with the utility for the whole shifting scheme; it is not the sum payable to us, and we will not quote a number we cannot evidence from our own account. The work order itself is available on request, and we will send the settled figure alongside it.
